This weekend gets the year off to a
bang as the University gears for Homecoming.
Scheduled events include: fraternity

football games, open house at Alumni
Hall, and after-game fraternity parties.
This afternoon the first-year football
team will match skills with the University
of Maryland. The game will begin at 2
p.m. in Scott Stadium.
Tomorrow morning the sport is soccer, as
the Cavaliers match wits with Hampden-Sydney
College on Lambeth Field at 10:30. The action
should prove exciting as the team takes the
field for the second time this season.
As past Wahoos return for the weekend
events, they will be well provided for at Alumni
Hall. An open house will be held both before
and after the game. A box lunch can be
purchased for two dollars. Any Alumnus desiring
to make a reservation is directed to contact
Alumni Hall.
The afternoon reaches climaxing heights
with the football game between the Wahoos
and the Wake Forest Deacons at Scott Stadium.
Game time is 1:30 and date or guest tickets can
be obtained at the usual places.
That night the University Union is sponsoring
a Rock Concert at University Hall. Delaney,
Bonnie, and Friends will head the billet along
with the Pacific Gas and Electric Company. The
concert will begin at 7:30 and should last till
10:00 p.m. of later. Advance sales are located
at the Main Desk in Newcomb Hall or at
Mincer's Pipe Shop on the corner.
As the grand finale the locale fraternities
will be having parties and smokers for the
purpose of rush. The spirits should remain high
throughout.
