Phi Epsilon Pi Leads All
In New Fraternity Averages

Phi Epsilon Pi, closely followed
by Delta Sigma Phi and Sigma
Alpha Mu, moved up to the top
spot in the 1967-68 session in the
academic rankings of the
University's fraternities.

Delta Upsilon, advancing from
23rd to 9th, received the Cross
award for the greatest improvement
in academic average by a fraternity.
Tau Kappa Epsilon also made
strong progress, climbing from 20th
to 7th: Newcomer Sigma Alpha Mu
placed third in the first time it was
ranked. For the third successive
year, the All Fraternity Men's
Average topped the All Men's
Average, leading by .0182, 2.5061
to 2.4879.

Grade point averages, which are
prepared by the Office of the
Registrar, were computed for all
full and part-time undergraduate
male students enrolled in the
University at Charlottesville for
both semesters of the session.
Graduate, graduate professional
students, and students in the
Honors Program not carrying credit
courses were excluded from the
computations.

Students excluded from the
ranking are noted in parentheses
under "Men Rated." The standings
of the fraternities for the 1966-67
session are similarly noted under
the heading "Rank."
