PK - Germans Give To SAC Fund

Recognizing the problems the
Student Council has encountered
in obtaining enough funds to
finance University activities, the
PK-German Dance Society has
donated $500 to the Student Activities
Fund of the Council, it
was announced today.

The money came from the
profits the dance societies have to
gained from its past endeavors.
The Council will be instructed
to use this money at its own discretion.

Recommendations for the allocation
of the money will come
from the Organizations and Publications
Committee of the Council.
These recommendations will
be acted upon by the Student
Activities Committee and the
actual allocations distributed.

On the average this past year
the Student Activities Committee
has been forced to cut spending
recommendations by 45%, a
Council spokesman offered.

The PK-German Society hopes
the money they donate will help
to alleviate this situation.

Last week, the committee announced
that it had been forced
to cut the recommendations for
the period from last September to
last March by $1495.31.

University groups requested
$76,648.07, but the Organizations
and Publications Committee only
recommended $56,155. The Student
Activities Committee was
forced to cut this recommendation
to $55,799.27.
