Panel Tonight Weighs
Coeducation Question

In order to help President
Shannon's committee on co-education
solicit opinion, Omicron
Delta Kappa (ODK), the Raven
Society, and the Lychnos Society
are jointly presenting a program
designed to stimulate student
interest on the subject.

Several problems and questions
concerning co-education will be
discussed at the meeting tonight
at 8 in Jefferson Hall.

The committee on co-education
has asked the three organizations,
along with the Student
Council, Honor Committee, and
Judiciary Committee, for opinion
on its project.

Earl A. Glosser, Director of
the Student Community Center,
will open the program with his
discussion of "Social Problems
Associated With Co-education
and the Lack of Co-education."

Nancy L. Buc, President of
the Women's Student Association,
and Martin F. Evans, President
of Student Council, will follow
with arguments on "The Need
for Full Co-education" and "The
Case Against Co-education at the
University" respectively.

A discussion of "The Coordinate
College Plan" by Douglas
W. Alden, Chairman of the
Department of Romance Languages,
will conclude the scheduled
portion of the meeting.

Next week, a questionnaire on
co-education will be sent to each
student member of the three
organizations sponsoring the program,
and the poll's results will
be sent on to President Shannon's
committee.
