Martha's Boy John: In Trouble Again

Former U.S. Attorney
General John Mitchell was
apprehended early this
morning as he absconded from
Student Council offices in
Newcomb Hall after
attempting to gather political
intelligence against Council
members.

He later escaped several
students' grasps and fled from
Memorial Gym parking lot in a
pickup truck.

The wild chase ended when
he was taken into custody at
the Crozet home of third-year
law student C. Bright White.

Mr. White reportedly hired
Mr. Mitchell to search Council
offices for certain
incriminating papers after Mr.

Students in the vicinity

Council vice president Larry
Sabato soon recognized the
former GOP fund raiser and
yelled, "You can't do that!"

Mr. Sabato and several
other students chased the lithe
former lawman to the parking
lot where he escaped.

Upon his arrest in Crozet,
Mr. Mitchell confessed that he
had been paid an undetermined
amount to search the Council
files for several letters from
Council members to the SAC
which urged the SAC to
approve the GSU allocation
and offered payoffs for
approval.

The money paid to Mr.
