By LAURA HAMMEL

Fourth -year Architecture
student Dave Howerton
running unopposed, was
elected to the top position in
the PK–German Society at
elections held Monday night.

Commenting on the
PK-German Society, Mr.

bring the best rock and roll we
can to the University. That is
the purpose of our
organization, to please as many
people as we can.

"We're planning a poll to
see what groups people want,"
he added.

Mr. Howerton was
optimistic about his future
term as president and
remarked, "We have a real
great guy to do our booking
next year. It's getting to the
point where we have

established a rapport with the
agents. They're anxious to
book people here.

"We are toying around with
the idea of holding concerts in
different places, on a smaller
level." Mr. Howerton also
mentioned the possibilities of
moving concerts to Old Cabell
Hall, or having some outdoor
concerts possibly in Scott
Stadium. "At any rate, we will
try to bring a wide range of
groups to a wide range of
people," he said.

Mr. Howerton said, "We're
looking for people interested in
working for rock concerts." He
added that there is an
organizational meeting for
ushers and advertising workers
next week.

four years in PK-German and
was elected previously to the
position of Concert Chairman
and Research Chairman.

Groghan. Second-year College

as Research Chairmen.

Former PK-German

group of people, they'll do fine
work."

"We are not a club,
asserted Mr. Francis, "We are
open to the entire University.
"Nostalgia is coming back
Mid-Winter's Weekend however,
since we've scheduled a
big-name group to appear in
Memorial Gym, Taj Mahal."
