W &L Ticket Pickup
Starts Today At U-Hall

University Hall doors
opened at 8 a.m. today for the
purpose of ticket distribution
for Saturday's basketball game
with Washington and Lee
Distribution itself will begin at
5 p.m.

WUVA Radio (640 AM and
89 cable FM) will broadcast
the hour-by-hour status of the
pickup. At 15 minutes after
every hour from 8 a.m. to 5
p.m. the radio station will
announce the number of
students in University Hall at
that hour until the 1900 seats
are filled.

The pickup procedure was
verified at the Oct. 3 Student
Council meeting. Students will
be allowed to enter University
Hall and sit in selected sections
of the gymnasium.

At 5 p.m. students will be
called by sections to obtain
their tickets. The order in
which these sections are called
will be random so that a
student will not know
beforehand which section will
receive the best seats for the
game.

Only half as many students
will be allowed entry to U-Hall
as there are tickets. Those
not allowed entry will be able
to sign a waiting list.

Date tickets will be handled
at a later time.

Tickets not picked up by
Thursday will go on public
sale. They will still be available
for student pickup after that
time.
