Yearbook Staff Fills
Editorial Positions

By BARBARA BROWNELL

Third year College student
Roberta Hitt has been elected
Corks and Curls
Editor-In-Chief for 1973-74.

Managing, business and
literary editorial positions will
be filled by John R.
Bruggeman, College 2; Janet E.
Brockmiller, Engineering 2;
and David W. Worden, College
3respectively.

Miss Hitt plans to place
emphasis on individuals instead
of concentrating on "the elite
University community."

"In the past, yearboo
copy has dealt largely with
Lawn life and Wa-hoo–
wa 's-type people," she
explains. "I want to see a
greater variety of students
represented in next year's
Corks and Curls."

Miss Hitt has planned a
meeting for yearbook format
discussion. "When I meet with
section editors and staff

members for next year, we will
try to get some more
interesting ideas. We will
probably use the photo-essay
style again, but we're not sure
about the underclass section.
Mug shots weren't too popular
this year."

Miss Hitt expressed a wish
to see greater student
participation on next year's
staff. "We want to recruit more
from the University
community because we know
we're missing a lot of talent.
We want to be sure, though,
that new staff members will
really work."
