Federal Jobs Require Exam

This year the Federal Service
Entrance Examination offers job
applicants who possess appropriate
qualifications, an opportunity to be
considered for a variety of jobs
with federal agencies. The
Philadelphia region provides the
following information for job
seekers.

The number of people
qualifying for Federal Employment
has increased greatly this year.

The number of available jobs is
relatively small compared to the
number of qualified applicants on
the register.

Most of the jobs are in large
metropolitan areas.

Candidates who have high
numerical ratings or who possess
the education and/or experience
appropriate to the positions being
filled the best opportunity for
obtaining employment with
the Federal Government.

handy guide for each of the Federal
service regions is available in the
Office of Placement Career Library.

The FSEE will be given on the
third Saturday of each month
beginning in October at the Civil
Service Office located in the Post
Office Building in Charlottesville.
Additional administrations will be
given on the Grounds on dates as
yet to be determined. Contact the
Office of Placement for further
information concerning these
administrations.
