Housing Office
Clarifies Its
Dorm Policy

Due to the increasing number of
leaflets, posters, and handbills which are
being put up all over the dormitory area,
the Housing Office has asked that
students understand and comply with the
regulations before they post any
communications.

According to Housing Office policy, "only
established bulletin boards may be used for
leaflets and announcements. Nothing will be
permitted on walls in public areas in
dormitories."

This regulation is in effect to reduce excess
litter in the dormitory area. Housing Office
employees have been instructed to remove all
communications not placed on established
bulletin boards, which includes those posters
placed on light posts, doors, and exterior walls
of the dormitories.

To insure maximum communication of
University-wide events to the dormitory
residents, the Housing Office requests that
organizations comply with existing regulations
in using the bulletin boards for announcements.

The heavy conglomeration of posters and
handbills was particularly noticeable during
election week. It was requested that political
aspirants confine their zeal.
