Auto Accident
Injures Four

Four University students were
seriously injured when their car, travelling
south on Route 29, ran off the road late
Friday night.

Cary Gradle of 161 Rugby Road
apparently lost control of his automobile,
according to State Trooper Max Gordon, and
turned over just south of Culpeper.

Mr. Gradle and three passengers, he said,
were injured and taken to Culpeper Memorial
Hospital.

Later transferred to the University and
released after treatment for lacerations of the
head, Mr. Gradle's progress is termed good.

Also injured in the accident were passengers
James Chafin, 20, of Page Street; Michael
Hudson, 19, of Rugby Road, and Thomas Ball,
18, of 15th Street.

These students are still being held at the
hospital where their condition was called good,
to be discharged, and satisfactory respectively.
