Hobbs Resigning Post

William A. Hobbs, Director of Development
and Public Affairs and an
important figure in the University's
administrative structure, has resigned his
post effective December 31.

Mr. Hobbs reported to The
Cavalier Daily last night that he is leaving
to assume the presidency of the Capital
Trinity Fund, Inc., an investment subsidiary
of the National Securities Research
Corporation. He said he expected to
retain informal ties with the University.

Mr. Hobbs, a former member of the
University's Board of Visitors, came to
the University in 1967 to take the post
created for him. He has also served as
chairman of the Board's finance committee
in charge of planning the future
financial management of the University.
