Hick Discusses
'Death Theology'
John H. Hick, Professor of Theology at the
University of Birmingham. England, will speak
on "The Theology of Death" as part of the
Richard Lecture Series on Tuesday, October 28
through Thursday, October 30.
Mr. Hick received his Doctor of Philosophy
at Oxford and is a leading theologian and has
taught at Cornell, Princeton, and the University
of Cambridge in England.
Tuesday, Mr. Hick will speak on "Immortality
as 'Recapitulation'." Mr. Hick's second
lecture on Wednesday will be on "Other
Worlds" and his final lecture on Thursday will
be a discussion on the question "Universal
Salvation?"
In addition to his teaching career, Mr. Hick
has also written many books including "The
Existence of God" and "Evil and the God of
Love." He has also written numerous magazine
articles and book reviews.
All three lectures will be presented in Wilson
Hall room 215 at 8 p.m.
