Runk Appointed
Sesquicentennial
Committee Head

President Edgar F. Shannon, Jr.
recently appointed B.F.D. Runk,
Professor of Biology, to the post of
Executive Chairman of the Sesquicentennial
Celebrations. As Executive
Chairman Mr. Runk is charged
with executing the program
developed by the Sesquicentennial
Committee, the planning body for
this year's celebration. Mr. Runk is
empowered to make any financial
commitments that may become
necessary.

Mr. Runk's work will primarily
be with the Sesquicentennial staff,
headed by the Director, William S.
Willis, Associate Professor of
French. The staff's subcommittee
chairmen have been appointed by
Mr. Shannon to form an executive
board to assist Mr. Runk in carrying
out necessary activities in various
areas of responsibility.
