Smith To Speak
On Architecture
Of Hindu Style

To Speak In Bayly Museum

"Hindu Architecture" will be
the topic of a lecture given by
G. E. Kidder Smith tonight at
8 p.m. in Bayly Museum.

Mr. Kidder Smith graduated
summa cum laude from Princeton
in 1935 and three years later
received the Master of Fine Arts
degree, at which time he was
awarded the Butler Prize in
architecture.

In 1955-56 he was visiting professor
at the Massachusetts Institute
of Technology, and in
1959 he was appointed to select
architectural books for an exhibit
in Moscow.

Recent publications by Mr.
Kidder Smith include "The New
Churches of Europe" and "The
New Architecture of Europe."

The lecture is sponsored by the
University Scholars, the Graduate
School of Arts and Sciences,
the School of Architecture,
and the Committee on Asian
Studies.
