'University Tuesday'

Student Council has issued a tentative
agenda of activities for "University
Tuesday", scheduled to begin next Monday
evening.

Monday night's activities will open with
a march at 7 p.m. through the dormitories
and fraternities. Council hopes to have the
Pep Band lead the marchers, as they start on
the fringes of the University and work
toward the central Grounds, converging on
the Lawn.

The Lawn will then be the site of an
all-night sleep-in. Architecture School
students will construct shelters on the
Lawn, and Council is sending out a call for
blankets, sleeping bags, and coffee for the
morning, to be contributed by the general
community and organizations.

Council has also asked that any folk
groups or concerned individuals with
musical talent come to the sleep-in. A
'survival package' list will be distributed by
Council later this week, outlining those
articles participants should bring to the
sleep-in.

"Make an administrator walk to work"
will be the motto Tuesday. Plans for parking
in administration parking spaces Tuesday
morning will be made on the Lawn Monday
night.

Early Tuesday morning, survivors of the
sleep-in will monitor administration parking
situation. Council is also requesting students
to bring their bicycles to the Lawn Tuesday
morning.

A study-in at Alderman Library will
begin at 11 a.m. on "University Tuesday",
to be followed at noon by an eat-in in both
cafeterias of Newcomb Hall. Student
Council urged that participants bring
lunches rather than attempt to buy a lunch,
if they would like to eat lunch there.
Afternoon activities will wind up with a
play-in at Memorial Gym at 1 p.m.

The day's activities will culminate at 7
p.m. in Wilson Hall, Room 402, with an
open meeting of Student Council for
purposes of hearing problems of expansion
at the University. The Committee on the
Future of the University will also be
present, and Council has invited all
concerned students to attend.
