WUV A Picks
New Board
Next year's Board of Directors at
radio station WUVA will be headed by
rising fourth-year man Wes Sturges the
station announced yesterday.
Elected at the annual WUVA Corporation
banquet Monday night, Mr. Sturges
will take the position of Corporation
President along with a new slate of Directors,
replacing outgoing President Chris Thaiss.
In other elections, Randy Spiers was elected
Executive Vice-President and Station Manager,
with Rich Moniszko as Vice-President and
Program Director. Michael Cascio will direct
next year's News and Public Affairs Department
as Secretary of the Board. Mike Moose,
chosen as Treasurer, will preside over business
operations.
The new Board will fill the-slots occupied
this year by five fourth-year men: President
Thaiss, Jerry Gray, Doug Plau, Pete Agnew,
and Jim Noel. Station policy originates from
the Board of Directors of the WUVA
Corporation. WUVA (640) is completely
student-owned and operated.
Lou Bricklin, chosen as the Secretary to the
Board, will assist the Board members in a
non-voting capacity. The new Directors take
office at the end of the school year.
