Scholar.

Appointment to a Rhodes

annually in the eight districts
of the United States. There
is a competition every year in
every state.

In each state there is a Committee
of Selection which may
nominate two candidates to appear
before the District Committee.
Each District Committee
then selects from the twelve to
fourteen candidates so nominated
not more than four men to represent
their states.

The information required on
the application forms includes
necessary personal data, a statement
of certification from the
president of the applicant's college,
three transcripts, a medical
certificate, the lists of the candidates
activities and honors, and
a connected statement of general
activities and intellectual interests.
