ODK Picks New Members;
Leadership, Service Sought
Twenty-five new members, including
two faculty members
and two honoraries, were elected
to Omicron Delta Kappa
national leadership fraternity in
its April elections.
In addition, Edward P. Brown
was chosen as president and C.
Eugene Arnette vice-president of
the fraternity, while Bruce Wallinger,
4-time manager of football,
received the circle's special
service award.
Selected for honorary membership
were Carl Joyce Gilbert,
chairman of the Gillette Corporation,
and William S. Potter,
member of the Board of Visitors
since last fall.
Those awarded membership
from the faculty were Joseph
N. Bosserman, dean of the
School of Architecture, and William
H. Runge, the University's
curator of rare books.
Dean Bosserman received his
B.S. in Architecture at the University
in 1948. In 1965, he returned
as assistant dean of that
school, and became dean in
1967.
Mr. Runge is charged with the
responsibility of maintaining the
University's collection of rare
books in the MacGregor and
Barret libraries. In addition, he
is the editor of "Jeffersonian
Americana," a microcard series.
Of the student members
chosen, 8 were elected from the
College, 3 from the School of
Engineering, 2 from Commerce,
3 from the School of Law, 1
from the School of Medicine, 2
from Graduate Arts, and 2 from
the Graduate School of Business
