26 New Members Picked
In Annual ODK Election

Two University faculty members
are among the 26 men who
were elected to membership in
Omicron Delta Kappa leadership
society on Tuesday night.

Neill H. Alford Jr., Doherty
Professor of Law, and Robert J.
Harris, Professor of Government
and Dean of the Faculty of Arts
& Sciences, were chosen for
membership in the honorary
society at its fall election meeting.

In addition, William A. Hobbs,
Director of Development and
Public Affairs at the University,
and William S. Potter, a 1927
graduate of the University Law
School and currently a member
of the Board of Visitors, were
extended honorary membership
in the society.

Omicron Delta Kappa is a national
honor society founded to
recognize and bring together
members of the faculty and student
body who demonstrate
leadership of exceptional quality
and versatility in college life.

Students elected to the society
must rank scholastically in the
top 35 per cent of their class and
are also judged for achievement
in athletics, student government,
social and religious affairs, publications,
and speech, music,
drama, and other arts.
