Kansas Killer's
Defense Pleads
Change Of Site

Defense Attorney for Larry
W. Lancaster, accused in the
murder of a University student,
has asked for a change of venue
in his client's trial. The trial is
scheduled to take place in MacPherson,
Kansas.

Attorney John Carpenter did
not outline detailed reasons for
wanting the change of scene except
the fact he felt it would be
in the best interests of his client.
November 8 was set for the hearing
of arguments on the request
by Mr. Carpenter in the first
degree murder trial of Larry W.
Lancaster, 27, of MacPherson.

Lancaster is accused in the
shotgun slaying of Arthur Lynn
Hafermchl, 19, at a party last
July 7.
