UAW Director Discusses Bargaining

Ken Bannon, vice president of the United
Auto Workers (U A W), will speak at the
University Graduate School of Business
Administration on Wednesday. The speech is
sponsored by the Business Forum, and will be
given in room 11 of Monroe Hall.

Mr. Bannon was recently named as director
of the UAW Aerospace Department after
serving for 22 years as director of the National
Ford Department. During this period he headed
all Ford National labor-management
negotiations. The topic of his discussion will be
"the Process of Labor Negotiations and the
Future of Collective Bargaining."

Together with the late Walter Reuther, Mr.
Bannon helped generate the first pension plan
in the auto industry. In 1967, he helped develop
the union's newest collective bargaining plan,
the Guaranteed Annual Income Credit Plan.
