Moves Deadline
In Arts Contest

In the hope of attracting more
entries, the deadline for the short
story, poetry, and one-act play
categories of the University Union's
Fine Arts Contest has been
moved up to January 5.

Committee Chairman Ed Hayes
announced the extension of the
deadline to give students pressed
with pre-holiday exams another
chance to win a share of more
than $400 in prize money.

Winning entries in the short
story, poetry, and photography
categories will be published in
the Midwinters edition of the
UVM, and the winning satirical
essay in Rapier Magazine.

Entries should be brought to
the University Union office,
fourth floor Newcomb Hall.
