Alumni Return
For Banquet,
Football Game

About 300 University alumni will
return today for a two-day program of
Alumni Day, highlighted by the annual
Alumni-Varsity spring football game
tomorrow at 2 p.m. in Scott Stadium.

The Alumni Football Team
Conditioning party will be held tonight at
8 p.m. in Alumni Hall.

The annual banquet for the Jefferson
Society of Alumni members will be at 6
p.m. today at the Boar's Head Inn.

The society consists of alumni who
left the University at least 50 years ago.

President Edgar F. Shannon Jr. will
deliver his annual report to alumni at the
Association's annual meeting and
luncheon in Memorial Gym tomorrow.

Annual Awards

Recipients of the Association's annual
Distinguished Professor and Distinguished
Student Awards and the annual Arthur P.
"Pete" Gray IV Award will be announced
during the program.

The Alumni Football Team Reception
and Award Banquet will be held at 6:30
p.m. at the Boar's Head Inn after the
game tomorrow.

Other sports events this weekend
include a baseball game with North
Carolina State University and a track
meet with Wake Forest College tomorrow
morning. The ACC tennis tournament
will be today at University Hall.

Other activities include an open house
at Alumni Hall tonight at 9 p.m., another
at 4 p.m. tomorrow, the annual Art
Exhibit and Auction in the Rotunda
tonight at 7 p.m. and the Law School
Libel Show in Cabell Hall at 8 p.m.
tonight and tomorrow.

Managers' Meeting

A meeting of the board of managers of
Alumni Association is also scheduled at 3
p.m. Friday in Alumni Hall.

The Alumni will be able to take tours
of the Grounds on Friday and Saturday
at 11 a.m. and 2, 3 and 4 p.m. The tours
will begin at the Rotunda.

The Alumni will end their visit by
watching a baseball game played between
North Carolina and the University,
Sunday at 1:30 p.m.
