Alumni Join In Easters Revelry

To the students of the University the
next three days are the annual spring
revival, Easters Weekend. For alumni it is
their yearly Alumni Weekend, highlighted

by the alumni-varsity spring football
game.

Activities started yesterday, with a
free rock concert between Maupin and
Lile.

A tennis match at 2 p.m. with
Clemson begins today's events. At 2:30
p.m. there will be a track meet with the
University of Richmond.

Tonight at 8 p.m. PK German presents
Richie Havens in concert at University Hall.
Tickets are $3.00 for students and $3.50 for
non-students.

The new track field will be dedicated in
honor of the University's first track coach, the
late H. "Pop" Lannigan. The ceremony is
scheduled for 10:30 a.m. tomorrow.

The alumni-varsity football game gets
underway at 2 p.m. tomorrow at Scott
Stadium.

Other Saturday events include an all-day art
show and sale beginning at 8 a.m. on the Lawn
and a baseball game with Pembroke State
College at 10 a.m. on Lambeth Field.

Alumni activities for tomorrow include an
alumni-varsity tennis match at 10 a.m., an open
house at Alumni Hall at 4 p.m. and the alumni
football team reception and award banquet at
the Boar's Head Inn at 6:30 p.m.

Sunday afternoon is dominated by sports
events. At 2:30 the baseball team takes on
North Carolina State. Also at 2:30 the Polo
team meets with the University of Pennsylvania
at the Farmington Hunt Club.

The highlight of Sunday afternoon is the
coronation of the IMPs king at 5 p.m. at the
south side of the Rotunda.
