Add Date
Extended

It was announced yesterday that the
final date for adding a course has been
extended until Wednesday afternoon,
September 30, at 5 PM.

In a letter to the editor of The
Cavalier Daily, Irby B. Cauthen, Dean of
the College stated, "We understand that
a number of College students are having
difficulty, in completing their schedules
because of the closing out of a number of
sections."

In order to facilitate those students
the date was extended. The final date for
adding a course would have been this
Friday, September 25, had this change
not been made.

Students are reminded that Add-Drop
Cards may still be picked up in Cabell
Hall 430. The final date for dropping a
course is still October 16.

In order to add a course on a pass-fail
basis, the change must be made on the
Schedule Change Request card, and on a
Special Condition Request card as well.

For those unfamiliar or uncertain of
the add-drop process, the instructor must
sign each "add," although he need not
sign the "drop." Changes in the major
program require the approval of the
departmental advisor.
