Speak Out

Wednesday night the Student Advisory Council, composed of
student leaders of the Law School, passed the following
resolution.

Whereas in recent days leaders of the undergraduate student
body as well as leaders of other graduate schools of the University
have taken a vigorous stand on behalf of justice for minority
groups, both in academics and in employment; and whereas the
past policies and attitudes of this State and the University toward
minority groups have not heretofore provided this justice;

Be it resolved that the Student Advisory Council of the Law
School wishes to make known its full support of and sympathy
with the lawful and nonviolent achievement of racial justice, and
therefore urges the University Administration to respond
positively to reasonable proposals designed to attain these ends.
