Summer School
Pre-Enrollment
Planned In May

Pre-registration for the summer
session for University students
will be held in the Summer
Session Office in Garrett
Hall beginning Monday, May 13,
and continuing through Friday,
May 24. Hours are 10 a.m. to
noon and 2 to 4 p.m. daily except
Saturdays.

Students now enrolled in any
school or college of the University
who expect to attend summer
school must file an intent
to register in the session by May
1, to allow time to have registration
materials prepared.

During the pre-registration
period, students will pick up
registration cards and take schedule
cards to their dean's office
for approval of course or registration.
All cards must be filled
out and returned to the Summer
Session Office.

Graduate students in arts and
sciences are asked to report to
the Dean's Office, 438 Cabell
Hall, in accordance with this
schedule; Monday, Wednesday,
and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.
Tuesday and Thursday from 10
a.m. to noon.

Graduate students planning to
work on theses of research only,
must also register and have the
schedule card signed at their
dean's office. All August degree
applicants must be registered in
the summer session regardless of
whether they will be taking any
courses, and such persons are
urged to complete their registration
prior to May 24.

Fees will be payable in full
on registration day. Students
who wish to complete their
registration by giving their summer
address and paying all fees
in advance will not need to return
to the University until the
first day of classes.

Those who will have not paid
their fees or cleared with the
Bursar will be charged a penalty
fee of five dollars beginning the
first day of classes after the official
registration day.

Beginning on Monday, June
24, the eight week session will
run until August 17. The ten
week Chemistry 31-32 course and
graduate language reading
courses will begin Monday, June
17.
