Famed Commentator
Gives Speech Monday

By Stefan Lopatkiewicz
Cavalier Daily Staff Writer

One of America's most controversial and well-known
radio personalities will be featured Monday night in Cabell
Hall.

Paul Harvey, who has had 43 of his broadcasts reprinted
in the Congressional Record and has published
three books, will address his audience at 8 p.m.

Paul Harvey, famed American
Broadcasting Company commentator
and one of the most honored
men in his field, will speak
in Cabell Hall Auditorium Monday,
October 16.

The lecture, which will begin
at 8 p.m., is being sponsored by
the Virginians for Conservative
Government, the University
Young Republican Club, and a
number of independent patrons.

Mr. Harvey has not yet chosen
a title for his speech because,
due to the fluid nature of national
and international situations
which he will be discussing,
he will be constantly revising
his talk. The speaker has announced,
however, that his remarks
will be of a non-partisan
nature.

Described as "something of
Walt Whitman and Patrick
Henry," Mr. Harvey has, as a
patriot and news analyst, received
many awards, honorary
degrees, and citations, and has
been chosen by his home state
of Oklahoma for its Hall of
Fame.
