7032. PROPERTY, Federal.—
The property
of the United States can never be questioned
in any court, but in special cases in
which, by some particular law, they delegate
a special power, as to the boards of commissioners,
and in some small fiscal cases.
But a general jurisdiction over the national
demesnes, being more than half the territory
of the United States, has never been by them,
and never ought to be, subjected to any tribunal.—
