Description: The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Visitors of The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia was held on this date in the Office of the President of the University of Virginia, Charlottesville, Virginia, with the following present: The Rector, Barron F. Black, President Colgate W. Darden, Jr., of the University of Virginia; Visitors Barksdale, Carrington, Coxe, Emmett, Gravatt, Mears, Mrs. Smith, Mr. Smith, Talbott, Wailes, and Wheeler. Absent: Dr. M. L. Combs, President Mary Washington College, Visitors Gay and Howard. I would like to reassert my position in respect to NCAA. I believe it is imperative that we maintain our membership in the organization and that we live with its rules and regulations without any attempt to by-pass them.
