LEAVES OF ABSENCE
The following resolution was adopted:
- RESOLVED by The Rector and Visitors of the University of Virginia that the following faculty members be and they are hereby granted leave of absence:
- Dr. Phillip M. Allen, Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology, for two years, effective 1 September 1968, without pay, to prepare for work in biomathematics and data processing.
- Mr. Nicolas Cabrera, Commonwealth Professor of Physics, for one year, effective 1 September 1968, without pay, to serve as Visiting Professor and Researcher, Instituto Politecnico Nacional and Universidad Autonoma Nacional, Mexico City.
- Mr. Ralph Cohen, Professor of English, for one semester, effective 1 February 1970, without pay, to help organize and to participate in a graduate program in English and Comparative Literature at Tel Aviv University.
- Mr. M. Donald MacInnis , Associate Professor of Music, for one year, effective 1 September 1968, without pay, to accept a grant from the Rockefeller Foundation to be Composer in Residence with Robert Shaw and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
- Mr. Bruce A. Rosenberg, Assistant Professor of English, for one semester, effective 1 February 1968, without pay, to accept a research fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies.
